About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to support our client's project portfolio by providing technical and engineering expertise throughout the planning, design, execution, commissioning, and close-out phases of mining and industrial projects.

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will act as the critical link between project management and technical teams, ensuring engineering activities are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with applicable standards and regulations.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
• Minimum 5–7 years' experience in mining, construction, or industrial projects
• Experience managing multidisciplinary projects from concept through execution and handover
• Exposure to both capital projects and brownfield/expansion projects
• Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies
• Experience with Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar planning software
• Knowledge of project budgeting, cost control, and financial management
• Professional registration or eligibility for registration with an engineering body advantageous
• Previous experience working in Africa or remote site environments preferred

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a technically strong engineer with experience delivering mining, processing plant, or industrial projects. You are comfortable working across multiple engineering disciplines, coordinating contractors and stakeholders, and supporting projects from concept through commissioning and operational handover.
