Role

The vice president of revenue will report to the companys CEO and be responsible for all Saas revenue-generating processes. As the Vice President of Revenue, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth by identifying new channels of revenue and expanding business in existing markets. You will sit on our Leadership Team and collaborate with other leaders to drive our revenue strategy and further solidify us as a leader in the industry. This role will own our go-to-market strategy and manage our SaaS revenue lifecycle with a holistic and growth-centric mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Sales Leadership - Lead and inspire a high-performing sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets. Ideally, with a mix of both new & and existing client experience, you know how to bring in new clients and strengthen relationships with existing ones. Provide strategic direction, mentorship, and coaching to the team members.
  • Revenue Development - Drive end-to-end revenue process from lead generation to deal closure. Collaborate with the marketing team to generate leads, qualify prospects, and convert opportunities into sales. Monitor sales metrics and performance indicators to optimize results. You'll be developing and executing the company's revenue strategy. You've previously led or played a key role in this function and you know where to start.
  • New Business - You have experience overseeing sales planning, pipeline management, reporting and forecasting, developing team KPIs & and commission plans, and improving new acquisition rates. Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to expand Company's  presence footprint. Identify new business opportunities and form partnerships to drive revenue growth.
  • Go-to-Market Expertise You will spearhead our go-to-market strategy, regularly conducting market research and competitive analysis. You have overseen this before and know the best approach.
  • Develop and manage budgets, business plans, and financial forecasts to meet revenue and profitability goals.
  • Marketing Knowledge - This may have been your full focus in a previous role, a function that you worked closely with in a cross-functional capacity or a department you managed. You're comfortable exploring, creating, and delivering value to meet the needs of your target market.
  • Cross Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with other departments such as marketing, product and customer success to ensure seamless communication and alignment of strategies to achieve our growth targets.
  • Market Insight - Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape. Use market insights to refine strategies and stay ahead of the curve in the E-learning sector.
  • Talent Development: Recruit, train, and develop top talent within your team. Foster a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and accountability.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • 10 to 15 years of experience working in similar roles at Saas industries.
  • Strong understanding of broadcasting, marketing, promotion and collection standards.
  • Experience working on turnaround and finding revenue opportunities in direct and channel sales is a must.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with Key Government Accounts.
  • Managed a sales portfolio of a sizeable revenue
  • Leadership and coaching ability; can successfully coach others in sales practices.
  • Experience working on emerging markets for SaaS products
  • Adept at creating productive, long-term customer relationships.
  • Excellent ability to organize, prioritize and multitask.
  • Can push self and others to achieve and excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
