Job Title: Network Technician

Responsibilities:

• Work a minimum of two days/week, with the ability to flex up for projects.
• Install, terminate, and test structured cabling systems, including Cat 5/6 cables.
• Perform cable management and cleanup to ensure neat and organized cabling infrastructure.
• Conduct site surveys to assess the requirements for installing wireless access points and troubleshoot any issues related to wireless installation.
• Install and configure network equipment such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Provide support for data center operations, including rack and stack, cable management, and hardware installation.
• Collaborate with other technicians and teams to ensure the smooth implementation of network infrastructure projects.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while working on-site.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience in structured cabling, specifically with Cat 5/6 cables and 568B cable terminations.
• Knowledge of network equipment installation, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Familiarity with wireless access point installation and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in cable management techniques and cleanup practices.
• Understanding of data center operations and experience with rack and stack procedures.
• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot network-related issues.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with other technicians and teams.
