About the job Saw Operator
Title: Saw Operator (construction workers can apply)
Hourly Pay: $16-$18 Hourly
Shift Hours: 1st Shift (40 hours)
Location: Columbus, Ohio 43231
Job Description:
Saw operators are responsible for cutting our aluminum sheets to exact measurements for fabrication. This position requires a person who is detail-oriented and can ensure accuracy.

Uses cut sheets to optimize materials to be cut
Ensure accuracy of measurement cuts
Sorts incoming stock according to size, and type
Is ahead of the workload to ensure other departments do not get behind waiting on materials
Reports all material incidents
Prevents scratching of aluminum lengths by using compressed air to blow off flakes and chips
Basic Requirements:
Reliable Transportation
Valid Driver’s License
Authorized to Work in the U.S.
Must pass a background check and drug test
Previous experience in manufacturing, carpentry, or other related fields
Calculate material measurements to verify specifications
Ability to read a tape measure
Ability to use a saw
Ability to operate equipment properly
The ability to compute simple math such as convert decimals to fractions, or feet to inches (calculators and tape measures may be used)
Experience with power tools
Provide high-quality work
Organized, responsible, and reliable
Punctual, committed, and hardworking
The ability to stand for 95% of an average week.
SAFETY
- Uses tools and equipment properly and safely, only after receiving proper training
- Wears and properly uses safety equipment appropriate for the work to be done
- Follows all safety processes and procedures, as dictated by Anderson Aluminum and the site contractor
- Cleans up any breakage or spillage of which you are aware or that is brought to your attention
