DevOps Engineer Digital Winners
Role Overview
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to own, automate, and continuously improve our cloud and on-premises infrastructure. You will work closely with our development teams to ensure stable, secure, and scalable environments, enabling fast and reliable delivery of new product features.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with AWS, CI/CD pipelines, observability stacks, and networking, and feels comfortable operating in high-traffic, business-critical environments.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud Infrastructure (AWS)
Design, manage, and optimize infrastructure on AWS, including:
AuroraDB and other database engines
EC2 instances and load balancers
Amazon Linux 2023
S3 buckets
Route53 DNS
ECR for container images
Implement and maintain secure, well-structured VPCs, routing, and VPNs.
- Contribute to capacity planning, performance tuning, and cost optimization.
CI/CD & Automation
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
Manage and secure secrets in Azure DevOps.
Use Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to provision and manage resources.
- Integrate and maintain SonarQube for code quality and security checks.
Observability & Monitoring
Implement and operate a full observability stack using:
Prometheus
Grafana
Loki
Set up and fine-tune dashboards, alerts, and metrics to ensure proactive monitoring.
Investigate and resolve incidents, performing root cause analysis and proposing
improvements.
CDN & Performance
Work with Cloudflare for:
Real-time image optimization
Geo-specific content caching
Workers (edge functions) to run logic at the edge
- Optimize performance and latency for high-traffic websites and streaming services.
On-Premise Systems
Support and maintain on-prem infrastructure, including:
VmWare ESXi
MariaDB & PostgreSQL
Nginx
Ansible
Networking (e.g. Mikrotik)
Video recording and related systems
Collaboration & Documentation
Collaborate closely with development teams to help them adopt DevOps tools and best
practices.
Mentor developers on how to use CI/CD, observability, and automation to increase
productivity.
Write and maintain documentation for infrastructure, deployments, and release
processes.
Propose and implement improvements to stability, security, and performance based on
data and experience.
Required Qualifications
3+ years of experience in a DevOps, SRE, or similar infrastructure role.
Strong experience with AWS (EC2, load balancing, DNS, storage, managed databases).
Solid experience with Linux administration (preferably Amazon Linux).
Hands-on experience with:
CI/CD pipelines (ideally Azure DevOps)
Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
Monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki)
Familiarity with containerization and image registries (Docker, ECR).
Good understanding of networking concepts (routing, VPNs, firewalls, VPCs).
Experience administering Nginx, MariaDB, and/or PostgreSQL in production.
- Experience with Cloudflare (including Workers and advanced caching setups).
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Ansible or similar configuration management tools.
Previous work in high-traffic or performance-critical environments.
- Strong awareness of security best practices for both cloud and on-premise systems
Soft Skills
Proactive, ownership-driven mindset with focus on reliability and improvement.
Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-DevOps stakeholders.
Experience mentoring or supporting development teams.
Strong documentation and communication skills.
- Desire to stay up-to-date with DevOps, cloud, and infrastructure trends and tools.
