Senior Licensing & Strategy Specialist

About This Role: As a Senior Licensing & Strategy Specialist, you will take ownership of key licensing accounts and drive licensing initiatives across markets, working closely with internal teams and content partners to support KKBOX's services and international growth.

This role requires a hands-on professional who can independently manage negotiations, assess deal structures, and make sound commercial judgments under dynamic business conditions.

Responsibilities:

• Own and manage licensing negotiations and relationships with music rights holders across TW, HK, and SG markets
• Independently lead licensing discussions covering sound recording and music publishing rights, including MG/advance-based deal structures and royalty recoupment mechanics
• Evaluate licensing terms and commercial conditions to identify risks (such as infringement and tax implications), and drive negotiation strategies and outcomes
• Analyze royalty data, usage trends, and commercial scenarios to optimize deal structures and support negotiation decisions
• Translate business objectives into clear deal positions, and proactively propose negotiation strategies and trade-offs
• Communicate licensing progress, risks, and key decisions effectively to internal stakeholders and external partners
• Drive cross-functional initiatives across Legal, Finance, and Music Library teams to ensure timely execution and operational alignment

Requirements:

• 5+ years of relevant experience in business operations, strategy, data analysis, or related roles
• Strong numerical and analytical capability, with hands-on experience using Excel or Google Sheets for commercial analysis and modeling
• Ability to interpret data and translate insights into business decisions or negotiation strategies
• Professional proficiency in English (both written and spoken), with the ability to communicate in business contexts
• Strong ownership and accountability, with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Open-minded and willing to learn new domains, including licensing structures and industry-specific knowledge
