Introduction
General Description
- Responsible for payroll processing, including:
- Tracking hours worked
- Calculating employee pay
Ensuring payment distribution (e.g., bank transfers)
Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities & KPI's
4.1 Time & Attendance (IQ Tech System)
- Administer IQ Tech clocking system
- Check attendance for NBC employees
- Ensure employees are linked to correct shifts/rotations
- Register new employees on the system (finger access)
- Ensure overtime is correctly recorded
4.2 Payroll Administration
- Ensure all payroll inputs are submitted to Head Office
- Print and distribute payslips (NBC employees)
- Handle payroll-related queries
- Submit employee terminations to Head Office (same day)
- Inform Admin Manager of all terminations
- Manage salary holds/releases with Head Office
- Perform payroll checks (NBC payroll validation)
- Submit leave deduction values (annual/sick/unpaid) to Admin Manager
4.3 National Bargaining Council (NBC) Administration
- Process:
- Annual leave applications
- Occasional leave
- Sick leave
- Maintain monthly leave balance reports
- Process sick leave bonus applications
4.4 Leave Administration
- Capture NBC leave on NBC portal
- Capture and approve leave on ESS system
- Submit monthly leave reports to managers:
- Annual leave
- Sick leave
- Sick leave bonus
Desired Experience & Qualification
Minimum Requirements / Competencies
- Matric
- Minimum 3 years' payroll experience
- Strong Excel skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Knowledge of NBC (National Bargaining Council)
