Systems Engineer - Mbombela

Introduction

Our client in Mbombela is looking for a Systems Engineer to design and maintain enterprise networks, manage infrastructure, and provide advanced technical support across complex IT environments.

Duties & Responsibilities

Design, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN and wireless networks.
Manage routing, switching, SD-WAN, and ISP infrastructure.
Administer firewalls, VPNs, and implement security measures.
Provide advanced technical support and resolve complex issues.
Maintain documentation and support IT projects end-to-end.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Strong networking and infrastructure expertise.
Advanced troubleshooting and analytical ability.
Knowledge of security standards and protocols.
Project management and implementation skills.
Strong communication and adaptability.

Matric with a Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
5–7 years' experience in Network/Systems Engineering.
Strong experience with Huawei, MikroTik, and Fortinet.
Knowledge of VMware/Hyper-V, Windows/Linux, and cloud platforms.
Relevant certifications (CCNA/CCNP, HCIP, NSE4) and valid driver's license.
