Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage consultant workloads during leave or absence, including:
    • Re-quotes and proposals
    • Operations management
    • Ongoing bookings and related tasks
  • Assist with agent and hosted educational bookings in collaboration with Sales
  • Support implementation and testing of systems and procedures
  • Follow up on provisional bookings across the team
  • Revive and manage dormant or dead leads during quieter periods
  • Assist with booking load during peak periods
  • Support Small Group Journeys
  • Source and procure new suppliers and products to enhance department offerings

Occasionally travel with groups to support operations

Desired Experience & Qualification

Knowledge & Expertise Required

  • Strong understanding of the tourism industry, travel channels, trends, and destination management
  • Knowledge of how markets operates
  • Solid product knowledge (internal and third-party destinations)
  • Commercial awareness and strategic thinking ability
  • Sound knowledge of South Africa, Southern Africa, and East Africa
  • Understanding of crisis management and emergency response protocols
  • Passion for service excellence
