As a Junior Buyer, you’ll be part of our Global Procurement team and report into the Head of Global Procurement

  • Thoroughly review and process Purchase Requisitions within the Coupa platform, ensuring strict adherence to Talkdesk's Global Procurement Policy.
  • Facilitate the onboarding of Global Suppliers using Coupa's Supplier Information Management Module.
  • Act as a point of contact to troubleshoot and resolve procurement-related issues for stakeholders.
  • Provide crucial support to Global Buyers during supplier negotiations, emphasizing the implementation of our Cost Savings Methodology. 
  • Ensure that stakeholders are fully compliant with Talkdesk's Procurement policy, thereby reducing risks, maintaining adherence to purchasing guidelines, and preventing unnecessary expenditures.
  • Skillfully negotiate small to midsize agreements and quotations to secure the best value for Talkdesk. The determination of "best value" includes evaluating factors such as price, life-cycle costs, delivery capabilities, quality, past performance, financial stability, risk management, and payment terms.
  • Collaborate closely with the Legal and Security teams to manage contracts that require threshold review and risk level assessments, supporting the procurement team in this critical aspect.
  • Cultivate robust relationships with internal stakeholders to effectively address their procurement needs.
  • Coordinate and participate in business reviews involving the procurement team, stakeholders, and suppliers.
  • Maintain meticulous records and organization within the requisition approval process using Talkdesk templates.
  • Collaborate across various business units within Talkdesk to resolve issues related to supplier onboarding, requisition creation, and purchase order management.
  • Fulfill any additional responsibilities as directed by the Head of Global Procurement, contributing to the overall success of the department

  • Familiarity with P2P and S2P Processes: previous experience with Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and Source-to-Pay (S2P) processes is advantageous but not required. 
  • Supplier Relationship Management Expertise: experience in effectively managing relationships with suppliers.
  • Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills: proficient in conveying information clearly and succinctly, with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Familiarity with Coupa: while experience in Coupa is beneficial, it is not a strict requirement.
  • Familiarity with NetSuite ERP: familiarity with the NetSuite Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system is advantageous but not essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and Google Suite Applications: skilled in using a variety of software applications, including Microsoft Suite and Google Suite. 
  • Additional relevant knowledge or experience related to the above requirements will be considered an advantage.
