The System Administrator Specialist will oversee and maintain all aspects of the organization's computer systems, networks, and data security. This role is fundamental to ensuring that the IT infrastructure operates efficiently and securely, supporting seamless business operations.

- Install, configure, and support an organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and Internet systems or a segment of a network system.
- Monitor network to ensure network availability to all system users and perform necessary maintenance to support network availability.
- Manage all system back-up and restore protocol.
- Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures in order to protect data, software, and hardware.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, or other network and system problems, and replace defective components when necessary.
- Configure, monitor, and maintain email applications or virus protection software.
- Operate master consoles to monitor the performance of computer systems and networks, and to coordinate computer network access and use.
- Design, configure and test computer hardware, networking software and operating system software.
- Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role.
- Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management.
- Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms (e.g., Windows, Linux, MacOS).
- Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude.
- Excellent communication skills.
- BSc/Ba in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline; professional certification (e.g., Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)) is a plus.
- Knowledge of system security techniques and IT best practices.
- Understanding of advanced networking technologies and protocols (e.g., VPN, DNS, TCP/IP).
- Experience with cloud services and virtualization technologies.
- Ability to script or program in an administrative language (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python).
- Project management skills, with the ability to lead and manage projects from inception to completion.
- Strong analytical skills, capable of working effectively under pressure while managing multiple tasks and projects.
