Athena Blue Global is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Sr Data Analyst to support 
sustainability and engineering initiatives for a leading global technology client 
headquartered in Sunnyvale, California. 


This role is responsible for collecting, managing, and analyzing environmental and 
operational data to support data-driven decision-making and track progress toward 
corporate sustainability commitments. The position requires strong technical data 
capabilities combined with an understanding of sustainability metrics, infrastructure 
systems, and global portfolio operations. 


This role requires availability to work US Pacific Time (PST) hours, or a schedule closely 
aligned to support collaboration with US-based stakeholders.

Data Collection & Management 
• Collect, clean, and manage large datasets related to sustainability metrics (carbon, 
energy, water, waste)  
• Maintain databases to ensure data integrity, consistency, and accuracy  
• Integrate site features, amenities, and MEP infrastructure data into central 
datasets  
• Manage and track progress against the 2030 Corporate Commitments Roadmap  
• Own and administer the BuildingOS energy platform, including vendor coordination

 
Analysis & Reporting 
• Analyze KPIs, trends, and performance metrics across global sites  
• Conduct ad hoc analysis (e.g., modeled vs. actual energy, emissions, water, waste)  
• Support annual sustainability reporting, including QA/QC processes  
• Develop and maintain ETL processes and Power BI dashboards  
• Create normalized baselines and benchmarking insights  
• Provide data insights to support engineering scope development  


Collaboration & Communication 
• Partner with Workplace Data & Analytics teams and cross-functional stakeholders  
• Present data insights and findings to leadership and key stakeholders  
• Perform data quality checks and resolve discrepancies  
• Track site-level interventions and performance improvements  
• Stay current on sustainability trends, frameworks, and best practices  

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Sustainability, Engineering, or related field  
• Minimum 2+ years’ experience in data, business, or sustainability analytics  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities  
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment  
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and Power BI; strong MS Office skills  
• Familiarity with sustainability reporting and QA/QC processes  
• Exceptional communication skills in English, including the ability to clearly 
articulate complex sustainability concepts and data analysis insights to both 
technical and non-technical stakeholders  
• Ability to work US Pacific Time (PST) hours or a closely aligned schedule  

• 3+ years’ experience in sustainability or ESG analytics  
• Knowledge of carbon accounting and frameworks (e.g., LEED, WELL, CDP)  
• Experience analyzing energy, water, and waste systems  
• Experience with BuildingOS or similar energy management platforms  
• Proficiency in SQL, Power Query, or Python  
• Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills
