The Recruiter will be responsible for supporting the end-to-end hiring process across gas stations, convenience stores, field operations, and corporate positions. This role focuses on sourcing qualified candidates, coordinating interviews, and ensuring that all recruitment activities follow company standards, best practices, and compliance requirements. The Recruiter plays a key role in providing a positive candidate and hiring manager experience while meeting staffing needs in a fast-paced environment.

Recruitment Strategy
- Partner with the HR Manager to implement recruiting strategies that meet company staffing needs
- Post and manage job openings across internal and external job boards
- Source and screen candidates using ATS, job boards, referrals, social media, and networking
- Conduct phone screens and coordinate candidate interviews with hiring managers
Hiring Process Coordination
- Ensure job postings, applications, and interview documentation are accurate and up to date
- Schedule interviews, prepare interview materials, and maintain timely candidate communications
- Support hiring managers by ensuring consistent application of recruiting best practices and standardized processes
- Assist with offer letters, background checks, and pre-employment screenings
Recruiting Compliance
- Ensure recruitment activities comply with federal, state, and local labor laws, EEO guidelines, and data privacy standards
- Maintain accurate and complete candidate records in the ATS

- Provide guidance to managers on compliant hiring practices and escalate risks to the HR Manager
Candidate & Manager Experience & Management
- Ensure a positive candidate experience by providing timely updates and clear communication
- Serve as a resource to hiring managers, offering process guidance and recruitment best practices
- Support onboarding activities to provide a smooth transition for new hires
Metrics, Reporting & Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Define and monitor KPIs in cooperation with the recruitment team
- Track key recruiting metrics such as time-to-fill and candidate pipeline status
- Generate reports to support HR leadership in evaluating recruitment effectiveness
Employer Branding
- Promote the company’s employer brand by representing H&S Energy at career fairs, school partnerships, and community events
- Assist with recruitment marketing initiatives across social media and other channels
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred
- 3–5 years of recruiting or HR experience, preferably in retail, operations, or high-volume hiring
- Knowledge of recruiting best practices, sourcing techniques, and applicable employment law compliance
- Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HRIS systems required
- Strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple requisitions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with candidates and hiring managers
- Strong organizational and time management abilities to manage multiple open positions effectively
- Proficient in applicant tracking systems (ATS), job boards, and sourcing tools
- Knowledge of recruiting best practices and compliance with employment laws
- Attention to detail with strong follow-up and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality
