The NOC Network Engineer 1 coordinates and facilitates onsite support to any network related concerns and issues. He/she is responsible for maintaining network availability and reliability.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Acknowledge the calls and assigned service requests, incidents, or queries via Service Desk according to SLA

Monitor the system health and acknowledge alert in the centralized SolarWinds monitoring
-
Provide Level 1&2 Technical Support (Physical & Configuration Support)

Respond and own until resolution of hardware or software problems
-
Network L1 implementations and troubleshooting
-
Document Method of Procedures for Maintenance of Hardware and Software initiatives

Assist OSS to perform duties as assigned
-
Interface with Network Operations Center and Service Desk during Critical Events and Outages

Provide Escalation Support to immediate superior.

Perform hardware initial installation, racking and configuring of server and data center infrastructure
-
Schedule routine maintenance tasks on assigned networks, to ensure that downtime is eradicated
Minimum Competencies:
-
Set up and administrative Layer 2 devices
-
Provide hardware and software engineering support for IT client / server applications
-
Intervene in situations which require an immediate response such as external virus or malware threats
Minimum Qualifications:
-
At least 1-2 years experienced working in NOC environment
-
Previous experience working with network L1 troubleshooting

Knowledge in handling Networking Protocols such as: VLAN, STP, Routing Protocols, IP Telephony and QoS
-
Must be an excellent communicator/facilitator; ability to interface with clients at all levels

Knowledge in handling network and access points such as Dell and Ruckus Products
