The Creatives and Communications Officer plays a lead role in shaping and executing KMC’s visual storytelling and communications execution across employee engagement and culture initiatives. This role is ideal for a creative professional who can lead creative direction, translate ideas into compelling visuals, and ensure clear, consistent communication across multiple platforms. 

  

Reporting to the People Engagement Assistant Manager, the Officer is expected to take ownership of creative outputs, manage key communications platforms, and act as a strategic creative partner to HR, Marketing, and internal stakeholders. This role contributes to strengthening employee connection, reinforcing brand identity, and elevating the overall employee experience through purposeful design and communication.

  • Creative Leadership & Visual Direction 

    •  Lead the conceptualization, design, and execution of creative assets including banners, posters, digital collaterals, videos, presentation decks, animations, and campaign visuals. 

    •  Set and maintain creative standards and visual direction for internal campaigns, engagement initiatives, and people-focused programs. 

    •  Ensure all materials align with KMC’s brand identity, tone, and visual guidelines. 

    •  Oversee and curate the organization’s digital asset library (templates, logos, icons, visual archives). 

    •  Provide creative guidance, review outputs, and give constructive feedback to junior creatives or contributors when applicable. 

    Visual Storytelling & Content Creation 

      

    • Develop visually engaging content for internal platforms such as Virtual Café, Engagement Menu, and social channels. 

    • Lead multimedia production including short-form videos, motion graphics, infographics, and storytelling assets. 

    • Support scripting, layout, and production of videos, newsletters, and digital content to enhance engagement and clarity. 

    Communications & Platform Management 

    • Draft, edit, and finalize communication materials such as campaign announcements, emailers, presentations, and employee-facing messages. 

    •  Manage and maintain all communications platforms utilized by the organization, ensuring content is updated, relevant, well-organized, and visually aligned. 

    •  Ensure messaging across platforms is clear, consistent, timely, and aligned with KMC’s tone of voice and employer brand. 

    •  Collaborate closely with the People Engagement Team to align creative and communication outputs with program objectives and engagement goals. 

    Campaign Collaboration & Stakeholder Management 

    • Partner with HR, Marketing, and other internal teams to deliver integrated and visually cohesive campaigns. 

    • Support the planning, promotion, and execution of employee engagement activities, culture initiatives, and company-wide programs. 

    • Participate actively in brainstorming sessions, creative reviews, and campaign planning discussions, contributing strategic and creative insights. 

    • Coordinate with external vendors, freelancers, and suppliers for creative and production requirements when needed. 

    Project Management & Ad Hoc Support 

    • Manage creative timelines, prioritize deliverables, and ensure projects are completed on time and to standard. 

    • Track and report creative outputs and campaign support as needed. 

    • Perform additional creative, design, and communications-related tasks as assigned by the People Engagement Assistant Manager. 

  • Advanced graphic design and creative execution skills using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, After Effects), or similar tools. 

  •  Strong eye for design, layout, branding, and visual storytelling. 

  •  Good written communication skills with an understanding of tone, audience, and messaging flow. 

  •  Experience or working knowledge of video editing and motion graphics. 

  •  Ability to lead creative direction, manage feedback, and guide outputs collaboratively. 

  •  Highly organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. 

  •  Open to learning, experimentation, and keeping up with creative and digital trends. 

 

    • 3–5 years of relevant experience in creative design, visual communications, or a related field. 

    •  Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Multimedia Arts, Graphic Design, Marketing, or any related course. 

    •  A strong digital portfolio showcasing creative leadership, branding, and visual storytelling. 

    •  Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly PowerPoint (design-heavy decks), Word, and Excel. 

    •  Experience supporting HR, employee engagement, events, or internal communications is an advantage.
