The Business Analyst plays a critical role in improving the transparency of business metrics by developing dashboards and reports sourced from various business systems. This role will contribute to informed decision-making through effective data analysis, reporting, and process improvements. The Business Analyst will collaborate with stakeholders across multiple departments to gather requirements, define key performance indicators (KPIs), and build automated reporting solutions to enhance business efficiency and insights.

Data Analysis & Reporting

Develop and maintain business dashboards and reports to support strategic decision-making.

Source and integrate data from various business systems to provide a consolidated view of business performance.

Deliver insights by analysing key business metrics, trends, and operational efficiencies.

Identify gaps in data quality and work towards improving data integrity.

Provide ad hoc analysis and reporting support as required.

Stakeholder Engagement & Requirement Gathering 

Work closely with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into analytical solutions.

Conduct workshops and meetings to document business requirements for dashboards and reporting solutions

Provide training and support to end-users to ensure effective utilisation of dashboards and reports.

Process Improvement & Automation 

Identify opportunities to streamline reporting processes and improve efficiency. Automate recurring reports and dashboards to minimise manual effort.

Enhance reporting tools and methodologies to improve business transparency and accessibility of data.

Innovation & Technology Utilisation

Stay updated with the latest business intelligence (BI) tools and best practices.

Explore and implement data visualisation techniques to improve report usability.

Assist in the selection and implementation of business intelligence platforms where applicable.

Compliance & Governance

Ensure adherence to company policies and data security guidelines.

Support the development of data governance policies and procedures.

Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills. 

Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Desirable:

Experience in integrating data from multiple systems (ERP, CRM, financial systems, etc.).

Knowledge of Python, R, or other scripting languages for data analysis.

Experience working within a manufacturing or similar industry environment.

Qualifications

Tertiary qualifications in Business, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.

Additional certifications in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or a related discipline (preferred)
