We are looking for a detail-oriented Financial Accountant who will be a crucial role for completing month-end in a timely manner, assisting with a smooth audit and driving process improvement in all areas of finance. In this role, you will be expected to complete tasks efficiently and be able to confidently communicate with a variety of stakeholders.

• Financial Reporting: Preparing and maintaining accurate financial records, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Heavy involvement with audit requests on a bi-annual basis.
• Data Analysis: Analyzing financial data to identify trends, variances, and potential issues.
• Compliance: Ensuring compliance with accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, AASB) and relevant regulations.
• Tax Preparation: Assisting with tax preparation and filing, including annual returns.
• Financial Planning & Budgeting: Contributing to financial planning and budgeting processes.
• Internal Controls: Reviewing and improving internal controls to ensure the integrity of financial data.
• Communication: Communicating financial information to management, stakeholders, and other relevant parties.

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred.
• Certifications: CPA or CA certification is preferred.
• Savvy with technology: Proficient in excel and able to pick up new technology quickly.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills are needed to identify and resolve discrepancies in financial data.
• Communication Skills: Strong communication skills are required to present complex financial information to different audiences.
• Industry Knowledge: Experience with Retailers in Australia preferred.
