The Quoting Specialist position will partner with the Solutions Engineer and the Sales team to win new business. The ideal candidate will posses a mix of technical aptitude, consultative selling skills and the ability to translate IT requirements into compelling proposals. Key activities include creating quotes, managing renewal agreements, coordinating sales requests, reviewing quote accuracy and coordinating with procurement and the activation teams. This team member supports the overall sales plan and strategy for Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR) sales.

  • Create and deliver quotes/estimates for Managed Services and Communications services.
  • Collaborate with Account Executives, Account Managers and Solutions Engineers to quote solutions that cater to customer’s requirements.
  • Track and prepare renewal quotes for Managed Services and Communications services.
  • Work with partners and vendors on pre-sales tasks, including deal registration, vendor pricing, and inventory.
  • Follow up on opportunities, quotes, orders, and updating ticket statuses in the quoting system.
  • Utilize pricing databases and software tools to calculate costs, margins, and pricing for quotes.
  • Prepare detailed quote documentation, including breakdowns of costs and terms and conditions as needed.
  • Manage historical quote data for future reference.
  • Handle inquiries and provide clarifications regarding quotes, including adjustments based on changes in requirements or internal contract management purposes.
  • Archive and manage all quote documentation for easy retrieval, analysis, and compliance purposes.
  • Identify opportunities that require Deal Desk approval.
  • 1-3 years Information Technology / Telecommunications customer service experience.
  • Must be familiar with Information Technology (IT) products including Core Infrastructure, Compute, Server, Network, and Storage
  • Must be familiar with solutions that are Premises Based, Cloud Based, or Hybrid Solutions.
  • Must be familiar with Software Licensing and Service and Support Renewals.
  • Previous experience with IT Managed Service Providers (MSP) is preferred
  • Previous experience with ConnectWise Manage and/or Sell is preferred
  • Previous Experience with Microsoft and Adobe Licensing is preferred
  • Knowledge of high-speed Broadband, Voice/SIP, MPLS, and Data Center services is preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Visio, Word, PowerPoint
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Able to deal with changing priorities to complete tasks in a short period of time.
  • Able to work with people of different personalities and temperaments, maintaining focus on customer satisfaction, company goals and moving towards successful completion.
  • Certifications (knowledge or equivalent experience) in Microsoft, VMWare, SDWAN, LAN Networking, Wireless, Server Infrastructure, and Cloud.
