Our broad customer base includes some of the world's best-known shipping lines, servicing the Port of Melbourne. With over 28 years of experience in wharf cartage in Melbourne, we specialise in the bulk movement of empty containers to and from the major stevedores at the Port of Melbourne.

- Coordinate and execute a pre-planned schedule.
- Manifesting of import empty containers and/or full containers when required.
- Re-booking/booking drivers when errors are made for export stack runs by depots.
- Providing pin numbers to drivers when required.
- Diverting trucks if necessary to ensure time sensitive runs are completed.
- Monitoring company truck movements / activities / delays and taking corrective action as necessary.
- Monitoring export stack runs and chasingup truck driversto ensure runs are finishedin time.
- Entering truck regos into Container Chain ‘carrier references’ and booking all ContainerChain notifications for the following day.
- Chasing up depots if carrier references or releases are not valid.
- Monitoring the slot exchange for terminal slots that we require — dayshift would advise of exact requirements.
- Pre-book anything required for the following day — e.g. terminal imports.
- Creating and arranging contingencies if runs do fall short and advising dayshift accordingly.
- Create a shift synopsis/summary upon completion of the shift advising of any issues and tasks that dayshift has to follow up/attend to.
- Data entry for all jobs into Maximas/Container Chain, then allocating drivers/trucks and ending as required.
- Send new Paramount drivers induction paperwork and organise all documentation to lodge them into our accounting system.
- Data reports as required by management. (e.g. Paramount driver/truck performance, sub-contractor reliability, etc.)
- And any other duty within the employee'sexperience and capabilities, as allocated by your manager, from time to time.
- Customer Service: Clear communication with drivers, clients, and teams to resolve issues efficiently.
- Proactiveness: Anticipating and addressing potential problems before they impact operations.
- Good Organization Skills: Managing maintenance schedules, documentation, and logistics.
- Prioritization Skills: Focusing on urgent tasks like repairs and high-priority shipments.
