- Thermal Image Processing:
- Utilize advanced photogrammetry and thermal processing tools to analyze infrared (IR) imagery to identify PV panel defects.
- Identify and categorize defects such as panel hotspots, cracked PV modules, bypass diode issues, offline strings, tracker misalignment, and other thermal anomalies.
- Integrate IR imagery with geospatial datasets such as a plant digital twin to provide detailed, comprehensive, actionable insights for clients.
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Evaluate thermal and RGB imagery to diagnose system inefficiencies, heat loss, or equipment malfunctions.
- Generate comprehensive reports summarizing defects, system health metrics, and recommended corrective actions.
- Provide visual and statistical insights using graphs, heatmaps, and trend analysis to support client decision-making.
- Data Quality Control:
- Conduct rigorous quality checks to validate thermal and RGB data outputs for accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards for thermal imaging and defect classification.
- Collaboration with Remote Teams:
- Coordinate with drone operators, operations managers, and clients to optimize data collection strategies and address project-specific requirements.
- Perform quality control on drone-collected imagery and validate data consistency in reports.
- Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve the processes for image data collection, quality assurance, and reporting. Proactively identify opportunities to streamline workflows and enhance data accuracy and efficiency.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Engineering, Renewable Energy, or similar) or equivalent experience.
- 1+ year of experience in solar thermal technology, system installation, or operations and maintenance (O&M).
- Proficiency in photogrammetry software (e.g., Pix4D, Agisoft Metashape, or FLIR Tools).
- Familiarity with cloud-based platforms (e.g., Amazon Workspaces) and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Strong attention to detail, with experience conducting quality control checks on processed data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide feedback, adjust workflows, and collaborate effectively with remote teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex image data and deliver actionable insights.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced, remote environment.
- Proven organizational and time management skills, with a proactive approach to handling competing priorities.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or overtime, as needed (e.g., Philippine holidays).
- Experience with solar components such as PV modules, trackers, and inverters.
- Familiarity with advanced image processing techniques, including radiometric calibration, thermal stitching, and anomaly detection algorithms.
