Payroll Specialist (Micropay)(Australian Account)

Our Australian client, Bentleys, a top 10 accounting firm from Australia is looking for a payroll specialist with experience with Micropay to join their team in Makati.

 

About the role

As a payroll specialist joining our team, you will be required to work independently attending to the payroll and accounts payable needs of our clients.

 

The main responsibilities of this role will include:

·        Providing end to end payroll support and processing for approximately 300 employees on the fortnightly payroll cycle.

·        Off-boarding for left employees and termination payments

·        Manage payroll vendors and payroll systems to ensure accurate payroll process for all employees.

·        Prepare payroll calculations , payroll reports, payroll finalization including generating bank files and lodging STP.

·        Compilation and processing of fortnightly adjustments – including pay rate adjustments, back payments, adjustments to leave

·        Bookkeeping and data entry for accounts payable and bank reconciliation.

·        Responding to payroll queries

·        Verification of timesheets using the separate Time and Attendance system on a weekly basis

 

About the Person

·        The role will suit a payroll specialist with experience in Micropay or other major payroll softwares

·        Experience with end to end payroll, with timesheet experience preferable

·        Experience with Australian Award or EBA interpretation would be desirable

·        Additionally, the successful candidate will have:

  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills for communicating with our Australian professional staff
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Effective task and time management skills
  • High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality
  • A clear and professional communication style
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
  • A positive attitude and the desire to contribute to a high performing team
