As a Financial Assistance Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of financial processes related to informal payment arrangements. Your primary task will be to manage and process all communications with creditors, ensuring that both incoming and outgoing correspondences are handled efficiently and accurately.

  • Process and manage all incoming and outgoing communications with creditors to maintain effective informal payment arrangements.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of communications and transactions with various financial entities.
  • Coordinate and liaise with creditors to negotiate terms and conditions of financial agreements, ensuring compliance with both internal policies and external regulations.
  • Utilize financial software to input and manage data related to payment schedules, creditor information, and other pertinent financial details.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on the status of accounts and arrangements to senior management.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the financial department.
  • Input and manage data in our CRM and accounting software.
  • Send out creditor proposals to relevant parties.
  • Liaise with creditors to follow up on proposals sent. Negotiate creditor arrangements via phone calls.
  • Follow up on creditor payout balances and reset broken arrangements. Liase internally with support teams to ensure arrangements are honoured.
  • Complete other ad-hoc tasks as assigned 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Familiarity with financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Basic understanding of financial regulations and creditor relations.
  • Proactive approach to tasks and responsibilities.
  • Strong ability to learn and adapt quickly.
  • Ability to manage fast-paced role with varying workload.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy. 
  • Patience in dealing with creditors and other integral team members.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, especially over the phone.

  • Experience in negotiating or managing payment arrangements is highly desirable.
  • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare detailed reports.
