The SOC Technician supports the enterprise-wide dispenser security program by monitoring systems, responding to security alerts, and coordinating maintenance activities. This entry-level role is ideal for candidates with a foundational understanding of IT or physical security systems and a desire to grow in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment. Technicians will work within a centralized Security Operations Center (SOC), ensuring timely and effective responses to incidents across retail fuel locations.

Key Responsibilities:
· Security Monitoring & Response:
- Monitor dispenser security systems for alerts, alarms, and system health.
- Respond to security incidents including unauthorized access, tampering, or system faults.
- Remotely arm/disarm systems as needed based on protocols.
· System Troubleshooting:
- Perform basic diagnostics on access control and surveillance systems.
- Identify connectivity or hardware issues and escalate when necessary.
· Vendor Dispatch & Coordination:
- Initiate service requests and dispatch external vendors for on-site maintenance.
- Collaborate with internal dispatch teams and document service outcomes.
· Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain detailed logs of incidents, system changes, and vendor interactions.
- Support reporting efforts with summaries and trend data.
Qualifications:
- · Entry-level candidates welcome; experience in SOC, IT support, or physical security preferred.
- · Basic understanding of access control, video surveillance, or alarm systems.
- · Familiarity with troubleshooting networked devices (IP cameras, access panels).
- · Strong communication and organizational skills.
- · Ability to work in a structured, alert-driven environment.
Preferred Experience:
- · Exposure to platforms such as DMP Entré, Insight360, Motorola access control, or similar.
- · IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+) or similar security-related training.
- · Experience in retail, fuel, or critical infrastructure environments is a plus.
