This is a remote, full-time position for a skilled developer with experience in Next.js, React, and TypeScript. You’ll be responsible for building responsive, high-performing web applications and integrating them with back-end APIs and headless CMS platforms such as Payload CMS (or similar).
The ideal candidate will have strong technical ability, attention to detail, and be confident working independently while collaborating closely with our UK-based team.
Frontend Development
- Develop and maintain web applications using Next.js, React, and TypeScript.
- Build reusable, scalable, and well-structured components following best practices.
- Integrate front-end applications with APIs and headless CMS platforms (e.g., Payload CMS or, Strapi). We use Payload CMS
- Ensure adherence to SOLID principles and clean architecture.
- Optimise applications for performance, accessibility, and SEO.
System Design & Architecture
- Collaborate on the design and architecture of new features and client projects.
- Work with the UK team to plan and deliver application components efficiently.
- Ensure front-end code is secure, reliable, and compliant with OWASP best practices.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of the codebase.
Collaboration & Communication
- Work directly with the UK-based development and project management teams.
- Communicate effectively in English, both written and spoken.
- Be confident in client-facing discussions when required.
- Participate in team stand-ups, sprint planning, and progress reviews.
Environment & Tools
- Use Git for version control and follow standard branching and merging workflows.
- Develop within Dockerised environments for consistency and reliability.
- Collaborate using tools such as Jira and Slack.
Technical Knowledge
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in front-end development with React and Next.js.
- Minimum 1 year of experience working with Payload CMS or another headless CMS.
- Strong understanding of TypeScript, React hooks, and component lifecycle.
- Experience consuming REST APIs and handling OAuth-based authentication.
- Awareness of OWASP security standards and experience building secure applications.
- Experience with MongoDB or MySQL
- Proficient with Git and familiar with Docker-based workflows
- Understanding of responsive design, accessibility, and browser compatibility.
