Role Overview
As a Salesforce Quality Engineer at J4RVIS, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality Salesforce solutions across our project portfolio. You’ll work closely with developers, consultants, and project managers to validate functionality, identify issues early, and contribute to a smooth, consistent user experience. This role is hands-on and suited to someone who thrives in fast-paced, collaborative environments and is passionate about continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Test Planning & Strategy
- Design and implement test plans based on project requirements and solution designs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and technical scope
- Identify high-impact test cases and prioritise coverage across functional and non-functional requirements
Test Execution & Documentation
- Execute manual and/or automated tests across multiple Salesforce clouds and integrations
- Conduct functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing throughout the project lifecycle
- Log, document, and track test results and defects in systems such as Jira
Defect Management & Issue Resolution
- Own the QA defect lifecycle: raising, triaging, and following up on defects
- Collaborate with developers to isolate problems, perform root cause analysis, and validate fixes
- Contribute to knowledge sharing to avoid recurring issues and improve solution quality over time
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve QA processes, tools, and testing approaches
- Stay current on Salesforce platform changes, features, and ecosystem tools
- Support adoption of automation and testing efficiencies where appropriate
Team Collaboration & Communication
- Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
- Provide clear testing updates and risks to project managers and stakeholders
- Align with other QA team members (where applicable) to ensure testing consistency across projects
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline—or equivalent experience
- Experience in a Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering role, ideally within software or cloud-based platforms
- Salesforce testing experience and knowledge of the Salesforce platform is highly beneficial
- Proficient in QA best practices including test planning, execution, defect tracking, and reporting
- Experience using tools such as Jira, TestRail, Postman, or Selenium
- Strong understanding of Agile delivery methods and working in a sprint-based cadence
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and communication abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote-first environment
