Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Coordination

Provide daily supervision, guidance, and technical support to NOC and infrastructure engineers.

Act as the primary escalation point for incidents, service interruptions, and technical issues.

Coordinate shift coverage, daily task assignments, and workload distribution.
-
Support training and mentorship of junior team members.
Incident & Operations Management
-
Monitor infrastructure performance and respond to alerts in a timely manner.
-
Lead the team in troubleshooting and resolving high-priority incidents.
-
Ensure proper documentation, incident reports, and handover notes.
-
Maintain operational dashboards, runbooks, and SOPs.
Storage Administration (Primary Technical Focus)
-
Perform hands-on administration of SAN/NAS storage systems, including provisioning, performance tuning, and capacity management.
-
Handle LUN creation, zoning, masking, and storage mapping.
-
Conduct routine health checks, monitor performance, and address storage-related incidents.
-
Support backup, restore, and replication processes.
Infrastructure Support
-
Assist in maintaining and supporting servers, virtualization platforms, and network components.
-
Work closely with network, server, and security teams during incidents or planned changes.
-
Perform scheduled maintenance, patching, and system upgrades.
Monitoring & Optimization
-
Improve monitoring alerts, thresholds, and dashboards for proactive issue detection.
-
Suggest and implement operational improvements to enhance system stability.
-
Identify automation opportunities to streamline routine tasks.
Documentation & Reporting
-
Ensure system diagrams, configurations, and asset inventories are kept up to date.
-
Provide regular operational and incident reports to the Infrastructure Manager.
-
Track team performance metrics and contribute to process improvements.

Technical Skills

Strong hands-on expertise with Storage technologies (e.g., NetApp, Dell EMC, HPE, Pure Storage).
-
Solid understanding of SAN (FC, iSCSI) and NAS (NFS/SMB) concepts.
-
Experience with backup solutions (Veeam, CommVault, Veritas, etc.).
-
Working knowledge of:

Windows/Linux servers
-
VMware or Hyper‑V
-
Basic networking and troubleshooting
-
Monitoring tools (examples: SolarWinds, PRTG, Zabbix)
-
Leadership Skills
-
Experience providing technical guidance or acting as a senior-level escalation point.
-
Strong communication skills, especially during incident handling.
-
Ability to work in 24x7 operations and support shift-based teams.
Education & Experience
-
4–6 years of relevant experience in NOC or infrastructure operations.
-
Prior experience acting as team lead, shift lead, or senior engineer preferred.
-
ITIL certification is a plus.
-
Storage or virtualization certifications are preferred.
