We are seeking a highly technical, hands-on Senior Manager, Revenue Accounting with deep expertise in ASC 606 and experience with technology and consumption-based revenue models. This role is primarily focused on owning complex revenue accounting areas including, supporting month end close, documenting technical accounting concepts and partnering cross-functionally with Sales, Deal Desk, Product, and FP&A on deal structuring and revenue implications. 

While this role may evolve into team leadership, technical revenue expertise is the priority. Management responsibilities will represent no more than 10% of the role. This is ideal for someone who is comfortable preparing entries, reviewing contracts, writing technical memos, and solving real revenue recognition challenges.

Revenue Accounting (Primary Focus)

  • Own and execute revenue close activities in compliance with ASC 606 
  • Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and revenue analyses 
  • Analyze customer contracts and determine proper revenue treatment 
  • Draft technical accounting memos and maintain revenue policies 
  • Evaluate usage-based, transaction-based, and variable pricing models 
  • Research and interpret accounting guidance for non-standard arrangements 
  • Partner closely with Sales, Deal Desk, Legal, Product, Billing, and FP&A on deal structuring 
  • Support audit requirements and documentation 
  • Drive process improvements and scalable revenue workflows 

Leadership Potential (Secondary) 

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members as needed 
  • Contribute to building best practices for the PH revenue accounting function 
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for revenue topics 
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting; CPA preferred 
  • 8+ years accounting experience with strong U.S. GAAP exposure 
  • Deep, recent hands-on ASC 606 experience in a SaaS / tech / subscription company 
  • Direct experience with usage-based / consumption / variable pricing revenue models 
  • Recent experience (last 6–12 months) preparing entries, analyzing contracts, and writing memos 
  • Strong experience partnering with Sales and Deal Desk on revenue impact 
  • Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills 
  • Experience with ERP and billing systems (Oracle, NetSuite, Salesforce, or similar)
