Salesforce Vlocity Architect (CPQ, EPC & Order Management)

Job brief

We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Vlocity Architect to lead the design and delivery of scalable solutions across Configure, Price, Quote (CPQ), Enterprise Product Catalog (EPC), and Order Management (OM) within the Salesforce Communications Cloud. This role requires deep functional and technical knowledge of Salesforce Industries (Vlocity) and the ability to align complex telecom business processes with the platforms capabilities. The ideal candidate will bridge business needs and technical execution, ensuring robust, high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities 

• Lead architecture and design for CPQ, EPC, and Order Management implementations in Salesforce Communications Cloud (Vlocity
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, solution architects, and delivery teams to define end-to-end solution designs
• Oversee the configuration and optimization of the Vlocity Enterprise Product Catalog, including product modeling, pricing rules, promotions, and attribute rules
• Architect CPQ solutions including guided selling, pricing strategies, and quote lifecycle management
• Design order capture flows, order decomposition rules, and orchestration processes for fulfillment using Salesforce Industries OM
• Define integration patterns with external systems (BSS/OSS, billing, inventory) using APIs and middleware (e.g., MuleSoft)
• Ensure governance over data models, OmniStudio configurations, and deployment processes
• Conduct design reviews, performance assessments, and solution optimizations
• Mentor development teams on best practices for Vlocity configuration and Salesforce platform development
• Stay current with Salesforce Industries roadmap and leverage new features to improve solution design

Requirements

• 7+ years of Salesforce experience, with at least 3+ years in Salesforce Industries (Vlocity) architecture roles
• Proven experience in CPQ, EPC, and Order Management implementations within Communications Cloud
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Vlocity data model, rules engine, product modeling, and decomposition/orchestration flows
• Proficiency with OmniStudio tools (OmniScripts, Integration Procedures, DataRaptors, FlexCards)
• Experience integrating Salesforce Industries with external telecom systems using APIs and middleware
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, version control, and CI/CD for Vlocity deployments
• Salesforce certifications such as Industries CPQ Developer, OmniStudio Consultant, or Salesforce System/Application Architect are highly desirable
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work in Agile environments and lead technical discussions across global teams
