Job brief
We are seeking a Salesforce Field Service Lightning (FSL) Developer to design, build, and support solutions that optimize mobile workforce operations and field service management. The ideal candidate will have deep experience with Salesforce FSL and the broader Service Cloud platform, and will be capable of delivering scalable, user-friendly applications that enhance scheduling, dispatch, technician enablement, and customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop and configure FSL solutions including Work Orders, Service Appointments, Skills, Territories, and Scheduling Policies
- Build custom functionality using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Flows to extend FSL capabilities
- Integrate FSL with mobile devices, GPS, external systems (e.g., ERP, inventory), and customer portals
- Collaborate with business analysts and service operations stakeholders to define requirements and translate them into technical designs
- Customize the FSL mobile app experience for field technicians using Mobile Flows, branding, and custom components
- Support dispatcher console configuration, service optimization, and appointment lifecycle automation
- Ensure secure and efficient access control for dispatchers, technicians, and customers
- Perform unit testing, deployment, and post-release support
- Document configurations, development logic, and field processes
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- 5+ years of experience with Salesforce platform development
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with Salesforce Field Service Lightning (FSL)
- Strong knowledge of core FSL data model: Service Resources, Work Types, Work Orders, Service Appointments, etc.
- Proficient in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Flows
- Experience with FSL Mobile App customization and user experience optimization
- Familiarity with field service operations in industries like telecom, utilities, or maintenance services
- Knowledge of system integration techniques (REST APIs, middleware) and Salesforce mobile development best practices
- Salesforce certifications such as Field Service Consultant, Platform Developer I, or Service Cloud Consultant are a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or within cross-functional teams
In addition an ideal candidate would:
- Be based in USA/Europe (due to time-zone) and/or 100% committed to working in customer time-zone(including a possible night-shift arrangement
