ABOUT THE ROLE

We're hiring a senior Engagement Lead / Project Manager to own delivery of a Marketing Cloud implementation for a Canadian client in a regulated industry. You'll be the single point of accountability for scope, schedule, budget, and client relationship, and you'll lead a cross-functional team across architecture, consulting, development, data, and QA.

This role is based in Canada due to data residency requirements, and candidates must be comfortable with a client-led background check.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Delivery Leadership

  • Own the end-to-end project plan, milestones, and delivery schedule
  • Run weekly steering committees, status reporting, and risk reviews
  • Manage scope, change requests, and commercial governance
  • Hold the team accountable to quality, delivery, and client commitments

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the client sponsor and programme leads
  • Build and protect the client relationship through clear, honest communication
  • Manage escalations and resolve blockers quickly
  • Run executive updates and quarterly business reviews

Team & Resource Management

  • Coordinate consultants, architects, developers, data leads, and QA
  • Manage resource forecasts, allocation, and ramp planning
  • Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retros
  • Coach team members and remove delivery friction

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Must-Have

  • 10+ years of delivery and project management experience
  • 4+ years delivering Salesforce Marketing Cloud projects
  • Track record managing full lifecycle implementations end-to-end
  • Strong commercial acumen, including scope, change, and margin management
  • Experience leading distributed teams in a consulting or SI setting
  • Based in Canada (mandatory due to data residency)
  • Comfortable with a client background check

Technical Depth

  • Working knowledge of Salesforce Marketing Cloud delivery patterns
  • Comfortable reading architecture and integration diagrams
  • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, and hybrid waterfall delivery
  • Proficiency with tools such as Jira, Smartsheet, MS Project, or Asana

Preferred Certifications

  • PMP or PRINCE2
  • Certified ScrumMaster or SAFe Agilist
  • Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Administrator (a plus, not required)

NICE TO HAVE

  • Prior delivery experience in Financial Services, Healthcare, or Public Sector
  • Familiarity with Canadian data privacy regulations (PIPEDA, CASL)
  • Experience managing fixed-price engagements alongside T&M
  • Exposure to Big 4 or top-tier consultancy delivery methodologies
