CYBER SECURITY INSTRUCTOR (REMOTE) 

We seek a skilled and motivated cyber instructor to create, maintain, and deliver courses in highly virtualized environments.  Instructors leverage deep subject matter expertise in relevant technical disciplines to provide a high-quality learning experience for our students. Through their work, the Cyber Security Instructor will empower students to develop and validate their cyber skills creating immediate job and career opportunities.

Presents course material about CompTIA Security+ and CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+) to students to provide them with valuable knowledge and skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Conducts in-person and virtual instructor-led training in one or more topic areas: Identity and Access Management, Network and Host Forensics and Investigation, Cloud Security, Security Operations (Red/Blue/Purple Teams), Malware Analysis, Reverse Engineering, and Incident Response.
  • Accurately identifies the skill level of participants and aligns delivery of course material to match individual students needs.
  • Demonstrates consistent classroom and student management to ensure a positive, successful learning environment.
  • Researches future technology direction relevant to cyber security and incorporates new topics in the development and delivery of cyber content.
  • Deploys maintain and secure classroom equipment, images, and materials in virtual classrooms or facilities around the globe.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.
  • Assists students with labs and answers questions to support their learning.

Experience:

  • Previous experience conducting technical training in classrooms or small groups.
  • Significant expertise in Cyber Security Operations and expert experience in one or more areas of Cyber Security: Intrusion Detection and Mitigation, Network Defense, Network Traffic Analysis or Operating System Security, Forensics, Incident Response, or Malware Analysis and Reverse Engineering.

  • Learner evaluation performance: Ability to monitor learner progress during instruction, administer tests, and evaluate attainment of end-of-course objectives.
  • Adult learner principles: Ability to engage learners to identify their learning needs, help trainees set personal learning objectives, assist trainees in applying training content to their jobs, and create practice opportunities during the training session.
  • Communication Skills: Superior writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Ability to work with all levels of internal and external clients, from clerks to CEO. Willingness to collaborate with subject matter experts and team members to complete projects and other business deliverables.

Technical Requirements/Tools:

  • Information Security Professional with significant experience and background in cyber security.
  • Exceptional, effective classroom communication skills.
  • Technical awareness of common operating system internals, network monitoring, SIEM, and other tools.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems including console/terminal usage.
  • Experience with Active Directory administration
  • CompTIA Security+ Certificate
  • Cyber Security Operation Center (C-SOC) Experience
  • Knowledge of governance and risk management.
  • Knowledge of SIEM tools and monitoring.
  • Programming and/or scripting, Python preferred.
  • Proficient TCP/IP networking and networking protocols.
  • Due to the extensive classroom training tasks, this role requires extensive experience with successful classroom teaching techniques and delivering technical training for adult learners.
  • Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Nice to have experience in Splunk, IBM Qradar, Elastic Stack, Fireeye, Carbon Black, Mitre&ttack, Misp, Osint, Wazuh, NMAP, WireShark, Crowdstrike

Schedule:

  • Classes will be delivered via video conferencing on zoom.
  • All classes consist of:

        Every weekday (Monday to Friday (09.00-12.30 CET)

        17 class hours per week

  • The schedule may change depending on planning factors.
  • Instructors will be able to teach 17 hours per week.
  • Instructors will also deliver a workshop and a webinar every 3 months for marketing purposes.
