About the job Instrument Engineer

We are on behalf of our client looking for a Instrument Engineer for a project in Trondheim, Norway.


Responsibilities and tasks:

  • E3D, 3D modeling, and 2D drawing
  • Follow up on Instrument Procurement Packages
  • Provide engineering inputs to job packages
  • Update supplier drawings and red line mark-ups
  • Coordinate with suppliers and review documents
  • Report to Discipline Lead and Engineering Manager
  • Ensure quality and HSSE in projects
  • Identify changes and input to change requests
  • Conduct offshore surveys
  • Manage technical procurement for mechanical packages
  • Prepare MTOs, requisitions, and installation job-cards
  • Provide input to other disciplines
  • Handle general field instrument engineering, system engineering, automation and control engineering, Fire & Gas systems engineering, layout design, cable dimensioning, field instrumentation, and valves
  • Coordinate with suppliers and clients

Qualifications and personal attributes:

  • Relevant education (Associate Degree, Vocational school, BSc, MSc)
  • Min. 2 years of oil and gas industry experience
  • Proficient in E3D, 3D modeling and 2D drawings - knowledge of loop drawings
  • Familiar with offshore EIT installations and requirements
  • Skilled in as-builts of tags and drawings - hands-on management
  • Good communication skills and a team player - experience in supplier coordination and follow-up
  • Ability to perform estimation work and plan activities
  • Project specific experience in modeling 
  • Valid Offshore Certificate!
  • Able to work independently and in team
  • Available for work in Norway!
  • Good communicative skills in Norwegian and English and team player
  • Valid work permit in Norway (or being located within the EU)!
