We are recruiting a Financial Controller / Financial Analyst on behalf of our client, a dynamic multi-brand group operating in the retail and consumer sectors, including fashion, cosmetics, and wellness.

The role combines financial controlling, analytical reporting, budgeting support, and performance monitoring across multiple entities within the Group. The successful candidate will play a key role in improving financial visibility, supporting strategic decision-making, and strengthening financial discipline across operations.

This is a hands-on position suited to a finance professional who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment and enjoys working closely with senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Controlling & Reporting

  • Prepare and monitor monthly financial reporting packages across Group entities.
  • Analyze P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow performance versus budget and prior periods.
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency of accounting data in collaboration with external accountants and internal teams.
  • Support timely month-end closing processes and reconciliation reviews.

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Assist in preparing annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
  • Monitor performance against budgets and identify key variances.
  • Support department heads with financial tracking and cost control initiatives.
  • Maintain financial models supporting operational planning.

Management Reporting & Analysis

  • Develop management reports highlighting key KPIs, trends, and performance drivers.
  • Translate financial data into clear, actionable insights for decision-making.
  • Conduct profitability analysis by brand, store, channel, or business unit.
  • Prepare ad-hoc financial analyses requested by leadership.

Cash Flow & Working Capital Monitoring

  • Monitor cash flow positions across entities.
  • Support liquidity forecasting and cash planning.
  • Track receivables, payables, inventory levels, and working capital efficiency.
  • Contribute to improving the Groups cash conversion cycle.

Portfolio Company Support

  • Consolidate financial information from multiple entities.
  • Support performance monitoring across retail and distribution operations.
  • Identify operational inefficiencies and cost optimization opportunities.
  • Assist management teams in implementing financial discipline and reporting standards.

Banking & Financial Coordination

  • Support preparation of financial documentation required by banks or financing partners.
  • Monitor loan schedules, covenants, and financing obligations.
  • Maintain organized financial records for lenders and stakeholders.

Process Improvement & Systems

  • Contribute to the implementation of standardized financial processes across the Group.
  • Maintain structured financial documentation and reporting files.
  • Support automation and improvement of reporting tools and dashboards.
  • Participate in ERP and financial system optimization initiatives.

Strategic & Operational Support

  • Assist in financial evaluation of new projects, store openings, or investments.
  • Support preparation of business cases and investment analyses.
  • Participate in cross-functional initiatives impacting financial performance.

Candidate Profile:

  • 3–7 years of experience in financial controlling, audit, FP&A, or financial analysis.
  • Experience in multi-entity environments or retail/consumer businesses is a strong advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills and advanced Excel / financial modeling capabilities.
  • Solid understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Structured, detail-oriented, and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality.


Education & Qualifications:

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • ACCA / CFA / CPA studies or certification considered an advantage.
  • Fluent English required; Romanian mandatory.
