We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a company with over 15 years of experience in project management. The company is currently looking for a HSE Site Engineer with renewables experience to join their wind park project team.
Job Summary:
The HSE Engineer will be responsible for overseeing all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) matters within the company on the site, ensuring compliance with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards. This role involves ensuring health, safety, and environmental compliance on construction sites. Monitors site activities, conducts risk assessments, enforces safety procedures, and supports the implementation of HSE plans in line with local regulations and company standards. Acts as a key point of contact for safety-related matters on site.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor daily site activities to ensure compliance with HSE standards and procedures.
- Conduct regular site inspections, toolbox talks, and risk assessments.
- Ensure that all workers, contractors, and visitors comply with safety regulations and use appropriate PPE.
- Support the implementation of the project's HSE plan and emergency response procedures.
- Identify and report unsafe conditions, near-misses, and incidents, and follow up on corrective actions.
- Maintain updated records of safety documentation, incident reports, and permits.
- Coordinate with site management, subcontractors, and suppliers to align safety expectations.
- Provide HSE training and induction to new workers and subcontractors.
- Liaise with local authorities or regulatory bodies when required.
- Participate in regular HSE meetings and prepare site-specific HSE reports.
What we are looking for:
- Bachelors Degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in HSE roles, preferably in the construction or renewable energy industry.
- In-depth knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing HSE policies and procedures.
- Strong understanding of Romanian HSE regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
- Driving License Preferred.
- Conversational English language preferred.
