About the job Civil Works Site Manager
We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a company with over 15 years of experience in project management. The company is currently looking for a Civil Works Site Manager Site Supervisor with renewables experience to join their wind park project team.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise civil works on site;
- Review plans and specifications according to plan;
- Set project timeline and permitting to attain construction readiness
- Liaison with Public Entities during construction;
- Monitor project deliverables;
- Works management and supervision;
- Update relevant stakeholders or team members on the project's progress;
- Coach, manage and support project team members with tasks you assign them;
- Accountability for day-to-day management of existing projects;
- Managing optimization and implementation of Permits, Design and Construction;
- Provide technical advice to staff designer, supervisor, inspector, and contracting service provider, regarding Civil Works;
- Analyze construction engineering problems and formulate solutions;
- Identify problems in design, planning, managing and delivering multiple projects;
- Continually review the contractors construction schedule during the progress of the site works with regards to civil works and report to the Project Manager on the same;
- Review the Contractors installation method statements.
- Where required prepare technical clarifications to the tendered design to suit specific on-site construction and coordination issues;
- Attend project, site progress, and any mechanical services-related technical meetings as directed by the project manager.
What we are looking for:
- Degree-level qualifications in Civil Engineering with knowledge in Industrial project Design;
- Ability to work independently with remote management and take responsibility for project delivery;
- Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines without compromising safety or quality;
- Strong attention to detail, accurate and methodical in work;
- Strong verbal, written and organizational skills;
- Good command of English (spoken and written);
- Computing skills, MS Office & MS Project and AutoCAD;
- At least 3-5 years of experience in the supervision and/orconstruction and/or Design of Wind or Solar Farms
