We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a company with over 15 years of experience in project management. The company is currently looking for a Project Manager with renewables experience to join their wind park project team.

Job Summary:

  • The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and successful delivery of renewable energy projects, ensuring they align with the company's commitment to innovation, reliability, and environmental policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Complete Project Lifecycle: Manage all phases of renewable energy projects, from initial planning and design through construction, commissioning, and final handover.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, contractors, vendors, and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet high-quality standards.
  • Project Planning and Scheduling: Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans, optimizing efficiency and minimizing risks throughout the project lifecycle. Developing and continuously updating the Gantt chart for the project, actively monitoring progress and identifying any deviations or issues that may arise. Monitoring the progress of the project and periodically reporting its status to the executive management and stakeholders.
  • Site Assessments and Risk Management: Conduct thorough site evaluations to determine project feasibility, identify potential risks, and ensure compliance with regulatory and environmental standards.
  • Procurement and Contract Negotiation: Source necessary materials, equipment, and services, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relationships to ensure timely delivery and cost-effectiveness (in case). Working closely with the procurement and logistics team to ensure their availability and delivery, making decisions on the materials and resources required for the project.
  • Regulatory Coordination: Coordinate with permitting agencies, utilities, and other stakeholders to secure necessary approvals, permits, and interconnection agreements for project development and construction.
  • Progress Monitoring and Issue Resolution: Track project progress, monitor performance metrics, and proactively address any issues or delays to keep projects on track and within scope.
  • Quality and Safety Assurance: Ensure all project activities adhere to the company's quality standards, safety protocols, and environmental best practices.
  • Communication and Reporting: Prepare and deliver regular project updates, reports, and presentations to internal stakeholders and external clients, fostering transparency and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle. Participating in project meetings with the beneficiary, the subcontractors and other suppliers, ensuring that all technical and commercial aspects are discussed and resolved appropriately. Effective coordination and communication with the project team and other departments involved, including synchronization and close communication with the execution, the person responsible for coordinating the site managers and all employees who actually work on the site.
  • Evaluating the performance of the project team, providing feedback and suggestions for improvement.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field with proof of qualification.
  • At least 5 years of experience in project management, proven experience in renewable energy projects, especially wind farms.
  • Good command of English (spoken and written);
  • Computing skills, MS Office & MS Project and AutoCAD;
  • Strong understanding of solar and wind energy systems, photovoltaic and eolian technologies, and electrical infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and regulations governing renewable energy projects (e.g., NEC, NESC, IEEE).
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • PMP or other relevant project management certifications are a plus.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
