We are looking for a SQL Server developer DBA who will be responsible for managing both development and production environments. The ideal candidate will have experience in SQL Server database administration, performance tuning, backup and recovery, writing complex queries, develop SPs and T-SQL queries and SSIS. This role offers an opportunity to gain experience in a fast-paced environment with room for growth.
Responsibilities:
- Administer and maintain SQL Server databases in both development and production environments
- Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions. Help write and optimize in-application SQL statements
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement solutions. Creating and maintaining database documentation
- Strong experience in Database Migration, Import/Export and ETL. Implement database security and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Perform database backup and recovery tasks. Administrative and configuration on SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services), and SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services).
- Assist with database design, indexing, and optimization for better performance. Monitor database health, jobs, and performance using SQL Server tools.
- Collaborate with developers to ensure smooth integration of database solutions. Troubleshoot and resolve database connectivity and performance issues.
- Knowledge of replication, mirroring, and clustering for high availability. Follow Change Management processes to implement database configuration changes
- Follow Problem Management processes to troubleshoot and resolve recurring issues .Proactively monitor and respond to MSSQL database Alerts. Knowledge of Powershell will be advantageous
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in SQL Server database administration and development.
- Strong knowledge of T-SQL, stored procedures, triggers, and functions. Proficiency in writing complex queries.
- Experience with SQL Server 2016 and above.
- Hands-on experience with SSIS.
- Familiarity with backup strategies, recovery models, and performance tuning.
- Basic understanding of indexing, query optimization, and execution plans.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
