The AVP, IT Vendor Management oversees the banks IT vendor ecosystem, ensuring strong partnerships, compliance, and value delivery. The role focuses on vendor governance, contract negotiation, performance monitoring, and risk management, aligning vendor capabilities with the banks technology and business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement vendor management strategies aligned with IT/business goals.
- Maintain strong vendor relationships and handle escalations.
- Lead contract negotiations to secure favorable terms and mitigate risks. Manage SLAs, KPIs, and ensure compliance with procurement and regulatory policies.
- Establish governance frameworks, conduct reviews/audits.
- Monitor vendor performance and drive continuous improvement.
- Identify/manage risks in third-party engagements
- Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and data protection standards.
- Collaborate with IT, Procurement, Legal, and Finance teams. Provide performance insights and reporting to senior management.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in IT, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years experience in IT vendor management (preferably in banking/financial services).
- Strong expertise in contract negotiation, governance, and performance management.
- Experience to strategically manage IT vendors to maximize value, ensure compliance, and support the banks business objectives.
