About The Company:

Herald builds digital infrastructure for commercial insurance. Today we provide developers a single API to get quotes for insurance products from multiple carriers. Tomorrow we want to build anything that helps developers connect their applications to the insurance ecosystem. We think buying insurance should be as easy as buying anything else online and we want your help!

Were a team of insurtech veterans with experience at At-Bay, Kin, and Haven Life. We're backed by top-tier VCs (Afore, Underscore, and a partner to be announced soon!) and a panel of Insurtech founders (At-Bay, Marble), insurance executives (CRC), and early employees of other successful API infrastructure companies (Plaid, Alloy, Stytch).

The role

We are looking for a Sr. Product Manager to build the processes and infrastructure to deliver the best infrastructure in commercial insurance. You will understand our customers, create a best-in-class developer experience, and design an API that makes getting insurance online as simple as a few lines of code. You will help define our strategy and convert it into product execution. In this role, you will report to the Director of Product.


  • Build a best-in-class API and developer experience
  • Understand the needs of developers and listen to customers
  • Create a product roadmap and prioritize features
  • Develop and execute on cross-functional project plans
  • Design effective internal product management processes
  • Set high standards and create systems of quality and accountability

What you bring

  • Experience building API and infrastructure products
  • 4+ years in product management
  • Ability to collaborate across product, engineering, and sales teams
  • Strong written, visual, and spoken communication skills across audiences with a variety of technical knowledge
  • An attention to detail and thoughtful approach to the nuances of building an enduring infrastructure
  • A curiosity and affinity for learning and growth
