Responsibilities

  • To oversee and have overall responsibility over the operation of the Hotel with the primary objective of achieving the Hotels financial goals efficiently and effectively.
  • Is accountable to the General Manager in the overall running of the hotel by participating in the decision-making related to the hotel policy, philosophy, directions, goals and objectives and by taking appropriate action for their implementation as directed.
  • Oversees the performance of the F&B, Rooms and other operation departments. Provides guidance and assistance in the execution of their responsibilities and helps them set their respective departmental objectives.
  • Directs and controls all subordinate F&B, Rooms and other operations associates to ensure that all day-to-day operational matters are handled on time and guest expectations are met.
  • Oversees the quality, consistency and presentation in the outlets under his/her responsibility to ensure that they conform to the requisite standards of the hotel and meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Oversees the service standards of all outlets under his/her responsibility to ensure that they conform to the requisite standards, meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
  • Co-ordinates in conjunction with the Sales & Marketing Department the preparation and implementation of annual packages or special promotions regarding guest rooms and F&B activities.
  • Ensures the implementation and maintenance of operations equipment and linen par stocks in the concerned departments and oversees inventory taking and control.
  • Assists in the preparation of the hotels annual budget; more specifically prepares; monitors and controls the budgets of the F&B, Rooms and other operation departments.
  • Participates in the preparation of the annual business plan in the approved corporate format, including explanations, comparison analysis and variances.

Qualifications

  • 8-10 years in international brand hotels with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in a similar position in South Korea.
  • Bachelors Degree of Masters with a concentration in Business or related field, or full hospitality professional qualifications.
  • Excellent command of the English language.
  • Ability to express effective, clear and concise written and verbal communication.
  • Strong leadership, organizational and administrative skills.
  • Must be able to handle difficult situations with tact and high diplomacy
  • In possession of strong partnering skills, clear vision, strategic planner and problem solver.
  • Highly customer oriented and result driven.
  • Strong sense of commitment and of unquestionable integrity.
  • Thorough understanding of business and finance.
  • Strong budgeting and forecasting skills.
