Job Purpose:

Lead and manage all landscape maintenance operations, Supervise and train landscape staff, including gardeners, horticulturists, and irrigation technicians. Collaborate with hotel/residential management and design consultants to align landscaping with the brand.

Key Result Areas:

The Director of Centralised Landscape is responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and management of all landscape maintenance operations across luxury hospitality and residential properties. The role ensures pristine, resort-quality aesthetics while integrating sustainable practices, local flora, and high guest/resident satisfaction standards.

General:

Strategic Planning & Design

  • Lead the development and implementation of landscape master plans.
  • Conceptualize and execute landscape design projects that enhance the resort's visual identity and environmental goals.

Operational Leadership

    • Manage daily operations of landscape maintenance, gardening teams, and seasonal planting schedules.
    • Ensure high standards of care for all green spaces, including gardens, parks, and beachfront areas.

    Project Management

      • Oversee new landscape development projects from concept through completion.
      • Prepare and monitor project timelines, cost estimates, and quality benchmarks.

      Creative & Technical Documentation

        • Independently produce high-quality reports, proposals, and design documentation.
        • Prepare and deliver presentations for internal review, executive briefings, and stakeholder meetings.

        Budgeting & Resource Allocation

          • Develop and manage the annual landscaping budgets.
          • Source materials and contractors, ensuring cost-effectiveness and sustainability.

          Team Leadership & Development

            • Lead, motivate, and mentor a diverse landscaping team.
            • Provide training and development opportunities to uphold best practices in horticulture and safety.

            Sustainability & Environmental Stewardship

              • Integrate eco-friendly practices into landscape design and maintenance (e.g., native plants, water-efficient irrigation).
              • Collaborate with the sustainability team to support environmental certifications and initiatives.

              Other Responsibilities

              • Perform any other duties, responsibilities, or tasks as reasonably assigned by management, including participating in cross-functional projects, supporting other departments, or responding to emergencies or unexpected operational needs.

                Key Qualifications:

                • Degree in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, Environmental Design, or a related field.
                • Minimum of 15- 25 years' experience in landscape design and management, preferably in a luxury resort or large property setting.
                • Demonstrated ability to write detailed reports, develop proposals, and create and deliver impactful presentations.
                • Proven leadership skills, with experience managing teams and cross-functional collaborations.
                • Excellent problem-solving skills, independence, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
                • Fluent in Thai and English (spoken and written).
                • Knowledge of tropical horticulture and sustainable landscaping practices.
