Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant

Prima Medicine, a well-established and state-of-the-art primary care practice in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, is seeking a full-time licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be comfortable practicing independently in a clinical setting and will play a key role in managing and coordinating care for an assigned patient panel.

The ideal candidate will be committed to developing strong relationships with their patients and providing a continuity of care.

Job duties include but are not limited to:

• Assess patients' needs, order or perform tests, interpret results and offer diagnosis and education; order prescriptions and referrals as needed
• Communicate with collaborating physician regarding patient care
• Chart visit notes in an electronic medical record in a timely fashion

The position is structured as follows:

• Full-time, Monday – Friday, 830 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• NO evening or weekend clinic hours
• NO call

Experience and Qualifications:

• Current Virginia NP or PA License
• Unencumbered DEA License (within 30 days of hire)
• ACLS/BLS Certification
• Self-motivated, directed, flexible and a team player
• Outgoing and engaging personality
• Energetic and enthusiastic about career growth and development
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to develop and implement comprehensive outcomes-based patient treatment plans
