LR - Medical Assistant

Lange Recruiting works with successful medical and surgical practices throughout the Richmond market. We are always seeking highly-organized, outgoing and friendly Medical Assistants (both front and back office) for our clients, whose specialties range from primary care to women's health to cosmetic surgery. We are seeking Medical Assistants who are reliable and responsible. Applicants must be a team player and have the ability to multi-task. Prior experience is not always required - if you are a dedicated individual who will work hard and demonstrate loyalty, then we may have an opportunity for you.

Typical Medical Assisting duties include the following:

Back Office:

• triaging and rooming patients
• facilitating patient flow
• measuring and recording patient vitals in the EMR
• patient injections
• returning patient calls
• securing prior authorizations
• assisting with in-office procedures
• other duties as requested

Front Office:

• greeting patients
• check-in/check-out
• scheduling appointments
• taking co-pays
• answering phones
• entering demographics
• other general office duties as required

Applicants must have:

• A minimum of two years of medical experience, preferred, but we will consider excellent candidates without experience
• Proficient computer skills, including EMR experience
• Strong communication skills
• Outgoing and friendly personality
