As we scale, we are looking for a Billing Manager who is ready to take ownership of our revenue cycle operations and help drive accuracy, compliance, and financial performance.

About the Role

This is a full-time, onsite position based in our Richmond office. Candidates must already reside in the greater Richmond area.

The Billing Manager will play a critical leadership role in overseeing billing and revenue cycle functions across services. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment and enjoys building efficient, scalable processes.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and manage all aspects of the revenue cycle, including billing, coding coordination, claims submission, and collections
  • Ensure accurate and compliant billing practices across Medicare and other payer sources
  • Monitor and analyze key performance metrics (AR, denials, reimbursement trends) and implement improvements
  • Develop and maintain reporting dashboards to provide visibility into financial performance
  • Identify and resolve billing issues, denials, and workflow inefficiencies
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with clinical, administrative, and leadership teams
  • Strengthen customer service processes related to patient billing inquiries
  • Ensure adherence to all regulatory and compliance standards

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in healthcare billing and revenue cycle management (primary care and/or senior-focused care preferred)
  • Experience with EHR systems, Athena required
  • Strong knowledge of Medicare billing, care management programs (e.g., CCM, RPM), and compliance requirements
  • Experience with data analysis, reporting, and performance metrics
  • Ability to optimize workflows and implement process improvements
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational and communication skills
  • Experience leading or mentoring team members is a plus
