Compensation: $101,920 - $137,384 annually

Location: Hospital / Inpatient Setting
Schedule: Day shift (specific schedule discussed during interview)

Position Overview

Legacy Staffing is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist to join our client’s healthcare team. This position is responsible for providing comprehensive physical therapy evaluations, treatment, and care planning in accordance with hospital policies, state and federal regulations, and professional standards. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, collaborative, and committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients referred for physical therapy using standardized assessments, clinical testing, and professional judgment
  • Assess patient strength, range of motion, coordination, sensation, cognition, mobility, and rehabilitation potential
  • Develop individualized physical therapy plans of care, including short- and long-term goals, in collaboration with patients, families, and interdisciplinary care teams
  • Administer skilled physical therapy treatments and monitor patient progress and response to care
  • Modify treatment plans based on patient condition, progress, and physician direction
  • Plan and coordinate patient discharge, including home assessments, family education, equipment recommendations, and community support resources
  • Accurately document evaluations, treatments, patient performance, progress, and outcomes in compliance with regulatory and licensing requirements
  • Delegate and supervise physical therapy assistants and support personnel according to experience and scope of practice
  • Maintain open communication with physicians, nursing staff, caregivers, and hospital departments to ensure coordinated patient care
  • Promote a culture of patient safety and patient-centered treatment

Patient Population

  • Infants (birth–12 months)
  • Pediatrics (13 months–12 years)
  • Adolescents (13–18 years)
  • Adults (19–64 years)
  • Geriatric patients (65+)

Qualifications

  • Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) in the applicable state
  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program
  • Strong clinical knowledge of physical therapy evaluation and treatment techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
  • Commitment to quality care, safety standards, and professional ethics

Preferred Experience

  • Prior hospital or inpatient rehabilitation experience
  • Experience working with diverse patient populations and diagnoses
