Responsibilities
Deliver exciting and effective science lessons:
- Align classroom instruction with established American curricula and local Ministry of Education guidelines.
- Differentiate teaching methods to diverse learning styles and needs.
- Integrate current scientific concepts and hands-on experiments to foster engagement and understanding.
- Utilise Ed-tech to effectively enhance teaching and learning.
Establish a dynamic and inclusive learning environment:
- Foster a positive and supportive classroom atmosphere where all students feel respected and valued.
- Encourage active participation, critical thinking, problem solving and collaborative learning.
- Implement strong classroom management strategies to cultivate a conducive learning environment.
Promote student growth and character development:
- Design and implement formative and summative assessments to track progress as well as inform instruction.
- Provide constructive and timely feedback to help students reach their full academic potential.
- Differentiate instruction and tailor the learning experiences to cater to individual needs.
Contribute to the school community:
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the science curriculum.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to keep abreast with best practices.
- Participate in school events and activities to engage with the wider community.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Science or related field (UK, Ireland, USA, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, South Africa)
- Valid teaching licence or certification (must be recognized in the target country)
- 2+ years of experience teaching Science
- Experience in western schools and/or western curriculum international schools.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching science (or relevant subject)
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
- Adaptability to different cultures and working environments
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student well-being
