Chef de Partie – Pastry:

We are looking for a talented and experienced Chef de Partie – Pastry to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the pastry section, ensuring the consistent production of high-quality desserts, pastries, and baked goods while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, presentation, and kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the daily operations of the pastry section and ensure smooth service.
  • Prepare and present high-quality pastries, desserts, cakes, breads, and baked goods according to standardized recipes.
  • Maintain consistency in product quality, taste, and presentation.
  • Supervise, train, and support Commis Pastry staff.
  • Organize daily mise en place and ensure production is completed on time.
  • Monitor food quality, portion control, and minimize waste.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry kitchen, equipment, and workstations.
  • Assist with inventory control, stock rotation (FIFO), and ordering requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef to develop seasonal desserts and menu items.
  • Ensure all equipment is used safely and report maintenance issues when necessary.
  • Contribute to a positive, professional, and team-oriented kitchen environment.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or certification in Pastry Arts, Culinary Arts, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of experience as a Pastry Chef de Partie or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, baking, chocolate work, and dessert preparation.
  • Understanding of HACCP and food safety standards.
  • Leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and creativity.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
