Commis Pastry :

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Commis Pastry to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in the preparation, production, and presentation of high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and production of pastries, desserts, cakes, breads, and other baked products according to standard recipes.
  • Prepare and organize ingredients (mise en place) for daily operations.
  • Support the Pastry Chef in daily kitchen activities and production schedules.
  • Ensure consistent product quality and presentation standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry kitchen, equipment, and workstations.
  • Follow food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards at all times.
  • Properly store ingredients and finished products while following FIFO procedures.
  • Minimize food waste and use ingredients efficiently.
  • Assist with inventory, stock rotation, and receiving deliveries when required.
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Pastry Chef or Kitchen Management.

Qualifications:

  • Certificate or diploma in Culinary Arts or Pastry is preferred.
  • 1–2 years of experience in a pastry or bakery environment is an advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of pastry techniques, baking, and dessert preparation.
  • Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.
