Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Baker at the Chef de Partie level to join our bakery team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in artisan bread making, with a particular focus on sourdough production. This role requires deep knowledge of fermentation processes, dough handling, shaping techniques, and baking at various temperatures to consistently achieve high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and bake a variety of fresh breads daily, including sourdough and other artisan loaves.

  • Monitor fermentation stages and adjust temperature and humidity levels to ensure optimal dough development.

  • Develop new recipes and refine existing products to meet high-quality standards.

  • Supervise and guide junior staff within the bakery section.

  • Maintain the highest standards of hygiene and food safety in the work area.

  • Coordinate with head chefs or production managers to align with kitchen or bakery needs.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in artisan baking, with a strong focus on sourdough.

  • Excellent skills in dough handling, fermentation science, and baking techniques.

  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining consistency and quality.

  • Sound knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.

  • Culinary or bakery certification is preferred.
