Role Overview

The Strategist Executive supports the development of insight-led, culturally relevant, and execution-ready strategies for experiential marketing, shopper marketing, and brand activation campaigns. This role works closely with Client Service, Creative, and Project teams to ensure all campaigns are grounded in consumer insight and aligned with business objectives.


At CMS, strategy is measured by clarity, relevance, and on-ground effectiveness.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development of campaign strategies and activation frameworks

  • Translate client briefs into clear strategic insights and directions

  • Conduct consumer, shopper, and market research

  • Analyse insights and trends to inform creative and experiential ideas

  • Contribute to pitch decks, strategy presentations, and campaign rationales

  • Support post-campaign evaluations and insight documentation

  • Collaborate closely with Client Service, Creative, and Operations teams

  • Ensure strategic recommendations are practical, cost-aware, and executable

Required Skills & Competencies

Technical

  • Strong research and analytical skills

  • Understanding of consumer and shopper behaviour

  • Ability to translate data into actionable insights

  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and Microsoft Office tools

Behavioural

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Curious, proactive, and detail-oriented

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities

  • High sense of ownership and accountability

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Social Sciences, or related field

  • 2–4 years’ experience in strategy, planning, research, or marketing roles

  • Agency or experiential marketing experience is an advantage
